The Geek’s NoAdware 5.0 Review:
NoAdware has been a leading adware remover since 2000 and after more than 10 years in the game, this is one of the most sophisticated adware removal software on the market. When NoAdware v3 was updated to NoAdware 4.0 the interface was upgraded and a new and improved adware and spyware detection model was introduced.
The latest version, NoAdware 5.0 has ironed out some of the issues like update failures and includes a few new customizable options that allows you to personalize the software to suite your specific needs. NoAware reviews of the previous versions continually pointed out the need for an improved interface and although NoAdware 5.0 took this on board, there’s still room for improvement.
If your computer is running increasingly slower due to pop ups and if you experience constant crashes, then NoAdware can be your salvation. It is very flexible and by using Browser Shields you can set and customize your own level of protection. Some adware blockers out there tend to be “overprotective” and will block out some sites that really pose no threat. It also has an Active-X Shield which will automatically block potentially dangerous Active-X installers – one of the latest ways that spyware and adware gets sneaked onto your system.
NoAdware v5 is extremely flexible and provides you with many features that you will only find in software that’s twice its price. NoAdware’s removal strategy is to protect your computer at the “point of entry” and will prevent adware and spyware from installing itself in the first place. Most adware removers out there can only detect adware once it’s already installed on your computer and in many cases it’s too late by then.
NoAdware is one of the most popular adware and spyware removers on the internet and the reason for that is quite simple: it works. It’s equally effective at removing adware and protecting you against any future threats through its Active Protect feature (which updates itself automatically once a day). Along with its very effective spyware blockers, NoAdware’s highly customizable features and its ease of use makes it one of my must have tools for being safe online. It does have its flaws, like a slow scan speed and the obvious high price but in the end this is good value for money.

Worse Features:
• Price. NoAdware is one of the more expensive options, but the fact that you buy a lifetime licence which includes free updates for life, makes it more acceptable.
• I would like to see it more streamlined and for it to use a smaller footprint and use less system resources (in other words, speed it up!).
• The interface is probably not the sexiest and I think it can benefit from a bit of a facelift.
• Their “live support” is not always that live and I ended up having to communicate to them via email.
